Las Vegas, Expanding and Growing
Las Vegas is one of the most successful cities in the world and fastest growing metropolis in the United States. Its population has increased from 273,000 in 1970 to 1,700,000 this year.Las Vegas has the best of restaurants, casinos, shopping and nightclubs. Most of the revenue comes from casinos, which provide rooms, shows, dinners and drinks apart from gaming activities.
The success of casinos in Las Vegas is the highest compared to any other city in the world. Las Vegas and New York City attracted the same number of tourist last year. The real estate prices are increasing drastically because the demand for housing is high due to regular influx of people.
In January 2004 Sam Cherry’s Soho Loft’s, 0.69 acre land cost was $1.2 million while 0.25 acre land for their third project Stanhi was $1.7 million this year. This shows the rising land price in the downtown area.
