Is Las Vegas going the Manhattan Way?

What does the term mean any way? The multi-use developments, specifically high rise, high-density towers - which will feature work places, leisure activities and home all packaged as one building.

You can wake up, go for nice swim or work out in the gym, then head for a coffee at Starbucks, have a shower and breakfast at home, head to work, do a spot of shopping and then return home for a late night dinner all with out having to step out of the building.

Over 18,000 residential high-rise units, most of which are considered common interest developments or homeowners associations, are planned for the Las Vegas Valley over the next five years. It is further estimated that 25 percent of those units will never be built. Most of the remaining 75 percent of high rises will be multi-use developments.
